About Kindred Iron
Made to last. Made for yours.
Kindred Iron makes one thing well: custom signs cut from steel, for the people and places worth naming.
A family name over the door. House numbers that finally match the house. A dog's name on a garden stake, long after the dog is gone. These aren't really decorations. They're markers — small, permanent, and specific to you.
How your sign is made
Nothing here is stamped from a mould or sitting in a warehouse waiting for a buyer. Your sign doesn't exist until you order it.
Each one is laser-cut from 16-gauge powder-coated steel — genuinely heavy stock, not the thin sheet most decorative signs are pressed from.
Edges are finished clean, and the piece is powder-coated in your choice of thirteen colours: black, red, white, silver, blue, gold, copper, green, pink, anthracite, cream, chrome and yellow.
Sizes run from 8 inches to 59 inches. Production takes 3 to 5 business days before it ships. The finish is weatherproof and rust-resistant, so it works on a porch, a fence or a garden bed just as well as on a living room wall.
What we'll tell you up front
We'd rather be straight with you before you order than apologise afterwards.
- Made to order means made to order. Nothing ships the same day. Build the lead time into your gift plans.
- Signs arrive with pre-drilled mounting holes, but hardware isn't included. The right screws and anchors depend entirely on your wall, and a generic kit would be the wrong one half the time.
- Custom means custom. Once a name is cut into steel it can't be sold to anyone else, so personalised pieces can't be returned for a change of mind. If we get it wrong, or it arrives damaged, that's on us and we'll fix it.
- Check your spelling twice. We cut exactly what you type.
Where we ship
United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the EU, at a flat $10 per order regardless of size.
